Carbon Valley Heating & Air 2016 Oldest Furnace Contest Winner

Here at Carbon Valley Heating & Air, we recently had our 2016 Oldest Furnace Contest come to a close. We are extremely happy to announce that Lisa and Brian King are the proud owners of a brand new, high efficiency Carrier Infinity Furnace. Boasting an impressive efficiency rating of 80%, the Kings are all set to enjoy years of warm and reliable heat from their home’s new furnace, and won’t have to worry about breaking the bank to do so. With an efficiency rating of 80%, that means that for every $1.00 they spend on their heating costs with their new furnace, they will be getting $.80 worth of heat pumped directly into their home. Not to mention, their new motor may only cost them an average of $37 a year to run, as opposed to their older beast of a motor in the old 1978 Heil furnace we replaced, which could run up over $480 per year.

For our 2016 Oldest Furnace contest, applicants were required to submit photos and details about their current furnace and its condition, with the oldest and most out of date being declared the winner, and receiving a brand new high efficiency Carrier furnace. By finding the oldest furnace and replacing it like this, we aren’t just helping to improve the comfort of our customer’s home, we are also working to improve its safety. The EPA estimates that the average AC unit or furnace can last about 12 years, after which, the danger of running the system begins to increase exponentially as it ages further. We here at Carbon Valley Heating & Air love this contest, as it presents us with a great way to give back to the community by providing a brand new furnace to a customer that is truly in need. As with all of our work, the Kings can rest easy in the knowledge that their new furnace was expertly installed by our team of NATE certified technicians, and with guaranteed installations, they know they can count on our work to go the distance.

The oldest furnace contest had some tough competition! We are also proud to announce the runners-up each won a carbon monoxide detector. Congratulations to: Burke Bell, Darin Broadley, and Regina Schmotzer.

Finding The Right Heating & Cooling Contractor For Your Home

When you are looking for a professional heating and cooling contractor, it is important to make sure you are hiring an expert in the field, which means there are several key things to look for. A professional website, a strong online presence, a host of positive customer reviews, and several years minimum in the industry are all good indicators of someone who is good at what they do, and stand behind their work. If you run into a contractor that just throws a quote out at you without performing load calculations or measuring the duct/airflow capacity, it’s best the run the other way and find a contractor that will actually take stock of your situation before rattling numbers off at you.

There are a number of different factors that go into making sure your home’s heating and cooling system is able to adequately, efficiently, and economically heat and cool your home like it should, and you should never invest your hard earned money in a company that won’t sit down with you and offer solutions for how to do so. We here at Carbon Valley Heating & Air want you to be as comfortable in your own home as all possible, and we never cut corners when it comes to the high quality service we deliver to each and every one of our customers. Trust Carbon Valley Heating & Air for all of your residential or commercial heating and air conditioning needs.
