A faulty internal humidifier is one of the most common causes of a leaky furnace. The furnace humidifier is connected to your plumbing system to add moisture to the air during the winter months. If your humidifier cracks or clogs, water will be leaking from your plumbing to your furnace.
This would be an unlikely problem if you have your furnace checked annually. But if you have neglected tune up, it is possible that you have an issue with your humidifier. Clogged internal drain
